Mark Barone is a representational painter who has been mastering his passion with oils for the past 40 years, and his passion is painting struggles of the human condition. Mark received his BFA from the University of Minnesota, and his MFA from Southern Illinois University. His work hangs in collectors homes around the world and his accolades too long to list; including a PBS documentary about his art project for social impact.

In addition to his highly awarded art career, Mark received great recognition for creating the first successful and highly awarded artist relocation project, designed to support artists and revitalize blighted neighborhoods using the arts; which became the model used by cities to promote art as an economic engine.

Teaching is one of his greatest passions because he gets to pass along his knowledge and inspire other artists seeking to deepen their work and free themselves up to become one with the paint.

These private and intimate retreats are designed for one student at-a-time. If you are ready to immerse yourself into the depths of the creative process and want to discover the secrets of painting/printmaking from Mark Barone, book your retreat, today!

100% of all monies are paid directly to Mark's Charity,

"I was so honored to get to work with Mark and now, because of my time spent with him, I get to paint from a much deeper place and let the paint speak for me. My paintings have transformed. He is truly a master of our times. Also, the cottage and grounds were spectacular and my dog loved playing while I painted."
